A handbag, a purse, a satchel, a tote, a clutch…a bag “by any other name”, oh – don’t get me started!
I don’t know exactly when it started, but my love affair with handbags is an enduring one. I can’t explain the feeling when I “click” with a purse, but I know a lot of you can relate otherwise certain bags, such as Chanel and Hermès, for example, would never have reached their cult-like status.
This is so exciting! A few months ago, I wrote about Boutique Royer, an amazing place for unique gifts that I found shopping in Montréal. A lot of you have shown interest in them through my site and I am happy to annouce…they have just recently re-opened in their new location in Old Montréal! With edited and discerning stock, their new home is the perfect space to double as a gallery. The owner, the gracious and charming Louise Royer, showed me around, told me how thrilled she is in this new space and of course, I saw some really great gift ideas!
One of the greatest things about living and shopping in Montréal is that there is so much talent to discover! Over the weekend I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely emerging young Montréal designer, Jennifer Masabni of Masabni. I visited her studio/ workshop and thoroughly enjoyed perusing her samples. What a sweetheart!
