Admiring the gorgeous home décor items at Mercer, reminded me of the sophisticated style you see in upscale and glamorous boutique hotels around the globe. The choice of name for this boutique is very apropos as the owner informed me that ‘”mercer” means textile merchant. The emphasis on fine fabrics is clearly the focus here.
Classic & Cozy Home Décor: Beige
I could be the last to know about this great home décor boutique. That’s what you would have thought by the huge numbers of people that were in Beige when I dropped by!
Into the Past: Zofia Antiques
While shopping in Montréal, I am always on the lookout for places that are very special. I absolutely love antique jewelry, but I don’t like sorting through dirty trays and baskets. I was thrilled when I found Zofia Antiques because there were some real gems inside which were beautifully displayed.
Turning Furniture into Art: Surface Jalouse
I am constantly thrilled and excited to discover the creativity in this city! I was wandering in the bustling, up and coming quartier of Little Burgundy this past weekend, and I found some great stores and met some very innovative people!
The window of Surface Jalouse reminded me of an Art gallery. I was drawn to the graphic “Pop” Art images that I saw on a sofa, of all things. I absolutely had to go in and investigate further…
