I recently discovered the most adorable line of handmade soaps and other fabulous smelling bath and body products from Dot & Lil. Based and produced in Montréal, I met with aspiring soap empress Anne Dardick, and had to smell absolutely everything in the showroom! My senses were in heaven when Anne introduced me to what immediately became my favourite scent and one of her best-selling – satsuma.

It all started with my father. When it comes to clothing, especially men’s clothing, he made me understand at a very young age that quality far outweighs quantity. When I discovered the exclusive Sartorialto in Montréal’s Plateau by chance, I was so happy to find that the old world art of made to measure handmade suits was not lost.

We met Annick, along with designer Jennifer Masabni at one of my favourite Montréal boutiques, Quartier Mode, to present her with the original lace dress that she won in our contest last week.
This is so exciting! A few months ago, I wrote about Boutique Royer, an amazing place for unique gifts that I found shopping in Montréal. A lot of you have shown interest in them through my site and I am happy to annouce…they have just recently re-opened in their new location in Old Montréal! With edited and discerning stock, their new home is the perfect space to double as a gallery. The owner, the gracious and charming Louise Royer, showed me around, told me how thrilled she is in this new space and of course, I saw some really great gift ideas!
