To celebrate the success of their smash hit “Springtime in Paris” lilac soap, it was ”Une Nuit à Paris”, just like the press release said it would be. There were macarons, madeleines, champagne, lavender shortbread (made by Anne’s mom!) candlelight and in true Dot & Lil fashion, antique china teacups everywhere.

Dot & Lil Atelier
I recently discovered the most adorable line of handmade soaps and other fabulous smelling bath and body products from Dot & Lil. Based and produced in Montréal, I met with aspiring soap empress Anne Dardick, and had to smell absolutely everything in the showroom! My senses were in heaven when Anne introduced me to what immediately became my favourite scent and one of her best-selling – satsuma.

Mercer
Admiring the gorgeous home décor items at Mercer, reminded me of the sophisticated style you see in upscale and glamorous boutique hotels around the globe. The choice of name for this boutique is very apropos as the owner informed me that ‘”mercer” means textile merchant. The emphasis on fine fabrics is clearly the focus here.
