Luxury Là: Ça Va De Soi

Ça Va De Soi

Being a huge fan of timeless elegance à la Audrey Hepburn, I was so happy to find ça va de soi. This is a family-run business, which endears it to me right away.  This is the place to find the finest knit sweaters in all the land. The yarns come from Italy and whether you prefer cashmere, merino or virgin lamb’s wool, you’ll find it all here.

One thing I never mind spending money on is a good quality luxury item like a basic sweater. It will never go out of style and can always be used, depending upon the thickness, as a layering piece, which, let’s face it – is essential here in Montréal! (Prices will always depend on the weight of the wool, so winter tends to be more expensive).

The medium to high-end store is set up like a library, with shelves upon shelves of sweaters, so neat I wouldn’t want to talk too loudly! I also noticed some beautiful hats and scarves of la même qualité.

Needless to say, I’ll be adding some items from here to my Wishlist! Dorothée, the manager is très charmante , extremely knowledgeable and clearly very good to her customers. Also, check out their boutique at Ogilvy’s next time you’re there!

Spring merchandise should be in now.

Merci Dorothée!
